If you have followed my blog you will have doubtless heard me bemoan the fact that I live in a building that doesn't allow pets, except fish. Well no offence to fish but that just didn't 'do it' for me. I have finally found something or should I say someone who fits the bill perfectly. Meet Winston...
Winston is an Ornate Horned Frog, more commonly referred to as a Pacman Frog because of their enormous mouths and voracious appetites. Winston was obtained for one of our exhibits at the Museum but because he is a non-native species, when the exhibit was over we needed to find him a good home. (Our museum generally focuses on native species). I was more than happy to set him up with a palatial abode and now he lives in the lap of luxury.
I took these photos just after he had eaten his dinner, a baby mouse! Um yummy!!

He is so cute. Looks like the perfect apt dweller. My snakes vouch for the mice... they say they're pretty tasty. lol
Wow he's gorgeous! Such vibrant colors and pattern.
So how did Winston get his name?
