HAPPY HALLOWEEN

This little mini pumpkin was just asking to have a face painted on it, I quite liked the way he turned out, kind of cute fierce. Have a great Halloween and don't eat too much candy :)

Cute and scary! Looks like you had fun! I saw on my blog that you are heading down this way soon. I would LOVE to meet you if you have time! As for places to go birding, with or without me, there's Reid Park, Agua Caliente park, Sweetwater wetlands, Lakeside Park, Saguaro National Park east and west as well as Madera canyon. It all depends on how much time you have and what you want to see. There are links on my blog to some of these places. I just posted about Lakeside Park today. Scroll down the side bar to find the links and check the labels also to pull up posts and pictures.

Celeste, if you only have a short amount of time my first suggestion would be Sweetwater Wetlands because it is close to town and you can see a lot of birds in a short amount of time. Reid park has a lot also but there will be more people there. Don't forget that Saguaro National Park and Sabino Canyon are both also close by but those location will be more limited to desert species and you will have to hike or drive around more. At Reid park, Sweetwater and Agua Caliente you can see desert species as well as wintering waterfowl and others. Sweetwater has a resident family of Harris hawks also. I hope this helps! Doug has my phone number if you want to get it from him. I don't mind if you call with any questions.
