HOW QUICKLY THINGS CHANGE.

We woke up to a rather different looking world this morning.........

We had been forecast to get about five inches of snow yesterday, starting at 6am, by the time I went to bed at 11pm there was nothing, but during the night we did get some. When I took these pictures it was still snowing lightly.

You have to be quick to catch city snow whilst it still looks pretty, before it gets, gray, then black and slushy.

So I guess winter is finally here! Even the Mallards have a dusting of snow on them!

But these hardy city animals can handle the winter very well.

Case in point, I revisited the bush where I took the picture of the House Sparrow for my previous post and, sure enough, they were all there!

And just for good measure I revisited the berry bush from my previous post too, so you can compare.

It certainly looks and feels like December now.

It is so pretty when it first falls and how it hushes everything around it...
