SKYWATCH FRIDAY (crazy clouds)

A couple of evenings ago I noticed this fascinating twisting candy cane cloud formation over the city. As usual I took far too many pictures of it so bear with me :)

At least I was reasonably restrained and narrowed it down to four!

For skywatch pictures from all over the world go to Skywatch Friday.

Fantastic shots of the skyline, the last one is very intriguing as it looks like there is a blue and pink rope in the sky.

Cheers and Happy New Year!

Ah, super cool! It DOES look like a twizzler cherry licorice stick in the sky... I really think that is an awesome capture!

Quite beautiful, like a twisted cord, and so daintily tinted.

Fascinating display in the sky. I have never seen it look like that. Gorgeous. I don't know what would have caused it to do that, but I am so thrilled that you shared. :O)

Imac - It was a brief appearance by the candy cane!

Dewdrop - I have no idea what forces would have conspired to cause this cloud formation, I was just happy to see it.

Judy - I had never seen anything like it either.

Carol - I think the solid appearance of the skyline just enhances the ethereal qualities of the clouds.
