SKYWATCH FRIDAY (Moon rays)

I am saving my pictures of endless ice for another post, I am tired of looking at that right now! At least in the dark you can't see the ice :)

Instead I went for a hazy moon rising over Lake Michigan before it froze this week.

There are hundreds of amazing skywatch pictures from all over the world at Skywatch Friday, check them out!

Looks like someone poked a hole in a dark tapestry and let in the light from beyond!

I love that reflection of the moon!
BTW, you asked where the bur cucumber lives - the book says it is in your area, not that that is a lot of help.
Have a warm weekend!

Kathiesbirds - It does look like that doesn't it? Rare to see real darkness in the city.

Louise - Thanks. That was what caught my attention and made me try to photograph it.

Judy - Thanks for the info about the Bur Cucumber, I have never noticed it, I shall have to look more carefully now.

Babooshka - There is always something a little ethereal about the moon I think.
