I was cooking dinner last night and I just happened to walk out of the kitchen at exactly the right moment to see the moon rising over the lake.
I can never remember if the Harvest moon is in August or September but it was so orange that it looked as if it should be the Harvest Moon.
There is something so magical about the moon I just love to gaze at it. We were lucky to get any dinner at all!

This is great..I can't take a decent moon photo...
I have to be honest Michelle, my husband took these - he has a much fancier camera than I do and, more importantly, he knows how to use it!!
I love the full moon. I saw it rise orange and glowing here in AZ also and photographed it the next morning when I was in Sabino Canyon doing a bird survey. Lovely shots!
Kathie - The moon must have looked spectacular sailing over the desert.
