SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Since an early age I have had a passion for fast machines of both two and four wheel varieties, blame my Dad! Today I was at Indianapolis Raceway watching the qualifying for tomorrows inaugural Moto GP race. Much to my delight, my favorite driver, number 46, Italian, Valentino Rossi (in these photos) has qualified in pole position - YEAH!!!Unfortunately, the remnants of hurricane Ike is supposed to hit us tomorrow so it could be a very slippery race! Who knows what will happen.

Those of you that visited my skywatch post, thankyou - I will visit your posts after this weekend as soon as I get home.

Cool shots! Yep Rossi is what Schumacher was for Formula 1.
Cheers, Klaus

Hmmmm, not sure if I can agree with you on that one Klaus, Rossi seems much more exciting to me. He often looses places at the start and has to fight his way back to the front, Schumacher always seemed to lead from the front, his nearest competitor usually being his team mate who always moved out of the way for him! Also Rossi left the title winning team after a few world championships because it was all too easy and went to the equivalent of Sauber, Michael just stuck with Ferrari and never really challenged himself after the first couple of world championships were under his belt. But I do agree that they are both great ambassadors for their respective sports.
